Learn the iconic weapon of the Medieval era in a welcoming, and fun class. This weapon is alternatively known as the Longsword, the hand and a half, or bastard sword. It was used both for self-defence and war from the 15th century well into the 17th century.
We have both beginner classes and regular classes for this weapon.

The Rapier is known as a weapon of grace. It is known as the premiere duelling weapon of the Renaissance, but it also had it’s place upon the battlefield. This one handed weapon was used together with a dagger, buckler, or cloak to add to it’s capabilities.
There are both beginner and regular classes for this class.
Regular Classes
Thursday - 7:30pm
This is one of the most popular weapon combinations in the Medieval to Renaissance periods. You can find this combination all the way from London to Gdansk. In fact Swashbuckling meant to show off with your sword and buckler! The sword used can be anything from an Arming Sword to a Rapier. The buckler is a small shield held with a center grip. We teach this once a week working from Medieval and Renaissance sources.
Regular Class
Tuesday - 7:00pm
The Dussack was a basket-hilted sword of the mid 16th to mid 17th century. It was a popular weapon for both war and sport. This weapon is trained with steel and leather trainers. We have a regular class for this once a week.

The Staff is a basic weapon seen all over Europe. This weapon is the entry to all Pole Arm styles. We teach German Quarterstaff and Italian Bastone

The smallsword is a one handed thrust centric weapon used from the late 17th century onwards. We still see it’s influence today in Foil and Epee in modern Fencing.
