SERFO 2022 March Update

Well this has been quite the journey…

But we have great news!!! SERFO 2022 is still happening!!!

Dates remain the same of June 10th to 12th 2022.


We will be holding the event at KSU Marietta campus Event Centre/Gym

 

This was the venue for SERFO 2019 and honestly we really enjoyed being there. So it is great that we get to go back.

There is plenty of space for our rings, for people to spectate, and to free fence. It does mean though that the all encompassing event we were hoping for is not possible. So we are returning to our usual variant for SERFO. Which is one invited instructor teaching at least two workshops, and a ton of tournaments.

We have some changes for this year as well

  • The event is now a 2.5 day event. Going from noon on Friday to Sunday evening

  • Some of the tournaments will be moved to Friday to give us some breathing space on Saturday. If you have been to a SERFO before you know how much of a sprint Saturday can be.

  • We will not be holding Ringen this year due to lack of facilities for the event. If all goes well then we shall be able to hold a separate dedicated Ringen even later in the year.

  • The tournaments for SERFO 2022 shall be

    • Franco-Belgian Rapier

    • Conventional Rapier

    • First Blood Rapier

    • Women’s Longsword

    • Open Longsword

    • Sword and Buckler

    • Secret invitational thingy

Prices have reverted to past SERFO levels as we no longer are staying on site. The early registration cost of SERFO 2022 is $75 for the entire weekend.

Please let me know if you have any questions. As we get closer to the event the Secret invitational and our Instructor shall be announced. Along with any changes to rules etc.
